The picture above is a picture of a Nymph Damselfly and they are Benthic Macroinvertebrates.
Benthic means, bottom like bottom of the stream.
Macro means, big also large. An invertebrate means critters without backbones.
So it really means a large bug without a backbone that lives at the bottom of
the stream.
