Flow Rate
We measured flow rate in feet per second
What is flow rate?
~Flow rate is the rate the water is moving at.~
What is it for?
Flow rate helps the water go the fish’s gills. When the fish rest they don’t move. If the fish don’t have water going through there gills to live they either have to be moving or there has to be a flow rate pushing the water though there gills.
CHIMACUM CREEK
In Chimacum creek the flow rate was 2 feet per
seconds .
Dewatto
At dewatto the flow rate was 2.5 feet per second.
Bel fair
In dewatto were there were live fish the water temp was 6 degrees
celcius.
in the inlet the flow rate was under 1 ft per second in the steam going into the the flow rate was
Temperature
What is temperature for?
Fish need to be in certain temp of water.They like to live in
6-8 degrees celcuis that’s in class AA. There are five classes of water.
Chimacum
at Chimacum creek we tested and averged the temp to 6 degrees
celcius.

At dewatto we got an average temp of 7 degrees celcuis
