Conductivity is a measure of the purity of water or a concentration of ionized chemicals in water. Conductivity is also a measure of electrical current or flow. A solution of conductivity is expressed in units of microsiemens. An electrode attracts conductivity with an opposite charge.Microseimens are expressed in units of ppm [parts per million]. Conductivity is caused by dissolved solids. Sutch as salt, sand etc. It is also caused by dissolved minerals. "Electrical conductivity is theg ability of a material to carry electrical current." An ion is an atom of an element that has eather gained or lost an electron. Which infact will create a negative or positive state. Ions found in water have calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, cations, bicarbonate, carbonate, chloride, nitrate, and sulfate anions.
