2009 Freshman Academy (for current 8th grade students)

One (1) High School Credit

Dates: Monday thru Friday, July 20 ~ July 31

Time: 9:00 a.m. ~ 3:00 p.m.

Location: Chimacum high School

Content: Teambuilding, Study Skills, Problem-solving, Communication, Freshman Success

Students will have the opportunity to participate in several experiential educational experiences, including Gibbs Lake ROPES Course, NW Maritime Center Wooden Longboats, and Center for Wise Democracy Problem-Solving.  The goal is to support all students in being prepared for a successful high school experience.

Cost: $10 non-refundable registration fee payable at time of application

Deadline to Apply:  Friday, June 5, 2009

Dates:   Monday thru Thursday, June 22 ~ July 16

Time:    9:00 a.m. ~ 12:00 noon

Content:  Math Literacy, Reading, Writing, Communication Skills, PE

Cost:    $10 non-refundable registration fee payable at time of application

Please note that transportation is the responsibility of the parent. Daily attendance is expected.
