9 Football / Volleyball awards night in the MS Commons at 6:30 (this is a date change from Nov. 11)
Destination Imagination-An informational meeting will be held in classroom 907 from 6-6:25pm on Tuesday October 6. (This is right before the middle school parent night sexual harassment informational meeting.) All interested students and parents are welcome.
Middle School Enrichment Seminar - Friday, October 23
The first all-day enrichment seminar for students who qualify for the highly capable program will be Friday, October 23. Students will be excused from their regular classes for the day. Please contact Nita Wester 732-4090 ext 289 for more information.
Tip of the Week: #1 Remember ~ all students MUST be in a supervised area at all times after school. Students are not allowed to just “hang out”.
#2 Reminder that students may not use skateboards, scooters or ride bikes on campus until after 4:00. Thank you.
News from the Library: The library is sponsoring an online September Scholastic book sale. The scholastic book orders can now be done on line at scholastic.com/bookclubs. The user name and password is the same, chimacum_library, underscore between the two words. The library gets a free book for every online purchase. Orders are due before October 3rd.
Homework Spot: The Jefferson County Library is offering homework assistance at the library. In a friendly environment, students have a place to work on projects and assignments, surrounded by the rich resources of the library. Volunteer adult tutors, along with Chimacum High School Honor Society members, are available to assist individuals or small groups as needed. The “Homework Spot” is held on Tuesday and Thursday during the school year from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. beginning October 6th. The “Homework Spot” is free…
Sports: It is still not too late to turn out for football or volleyball. Please pick up the paper work in the office. All paper work must be completed and turned in prior to practicing.
