Our next Middle School dance is a combined dance with Blue Heron Middle School. The dance will be held at Blue Heron Middle School on Friday, February 22nd, from 2:15-4:30. As you can see, the time for the dance conflicts with our normal school day. The CMS staff agreed to let students out early to ride a bus into Port Townsend to attend the dance if students meet the DANCE BUS REQUIREMENTS, TURN IN THE ATTACHED PERMISSION SLIP, and PREPAY ADMISSION to the dance. Please review the dance information and requirements listed below to attend this dance. Then have your son/daughter turn in the permission slip into the office when they prepay for the dance.

***STUDENTS WHO PREPAY FOR THE DANCE AND MEET THE DANCE BUS REQUIREMENTS WILL RIDE A BUS TO THE DANCE.
***ALL STUDENTS ATTENDING THE DANCE WILL NEED THEIR OWN RIDE HOME AFTER THE DANCE. A BUS WILL NOT BRING THEM BACK TO CHIMACUM!
Dance Bus Requirements:
• Prepaid admission
• Completed permission slip turned in
• PASSING ALL CLASSES AT MIDTERM OR HAVE BROUGHT GRADES UP BY TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 19TH (teacher’s note required)
• No pink slips three weeks before the dance
• Attend all classes the day of the dance (unless absence is prearranged)
• Must have a ride home after the dance (bus is not available after the dance)
The Middle School ASB has voted to turn our dance guidelines into a contract. Students and parents must sign the guidelines document and turn it into the office before they can attend the dance. The contracts are available in the office and should be passed out during Eagle Times on Monday, Oct 15. There is also a link to download the contract at the end of this message.
Presales for the dance start on Tuesday, Oct 16. Students who buy tickets should turn in their contract at that time as well.
