Double click on your hard drive, go into the Applications
folder (or wherever you have the program) and find the program folder for
which you are looking.
Open the program by double clicking on the folder and find
the icon that launches the program.
For example, the Inspiration icon that launches the
program is called Inspiration, the Graphic Converter icon that launches
that program is called Graphic Converter. This should be obvious.
Select the program icon by clicking on it once (if you double
click, you will start the program).
Go to File, Make Alias or use the keys Apple - M.
A copy of the program icon in italics with the word alias
at the end will appear. Drag it to the desktop.
You can choose to leave it on the desktop and use it from
there or you can put it in the Apple Menu.
To put it in the Apple Menu, go back to your hard drive.
In the hard drive, look for the System Folder folder and
open it up.
In the System Folder, open the Apple Menu Items folder.
This is where your apple menu programs are located. You can make folders to
organize them or just drop the aliases there. Drag and drop your new alias
there (I personally like to get rid of the word alias), close the open windows
and test it. Voila!
