Career & Tech Ed @ Chimacum

School Year 2006-2007 is on it's way. We have been very busy scheduling students and the CTE department is currently looking for a new Video Production instructor. Mr. Moratti has moved on to another job and seems very happy. The timing has been an issue and we are diligently looking for an instructor with experience and someone that could help our students get on fire for the media world.

We also have a new CTE Director. Tom Furseth is the new director for Chimacum High School. He is a .20 director and is also the Instructor for the Horticulture department.

Our Work Based Learning Program is up and running. All paperwork needs to be turned in asap, or students could be dropped from the program to make room for others that are seeking to further their Career and Tech Ed experience.

I will be giving you more information as the year goes along. Please call the CTE department if you have any questions. Theresa Montano-Burroughs (360)732-4090 ext. 264, email: theresa_hernandez@csd49.org
