I have finally gotten the Mac OS X 10.5 software updates to function.  If you are on the main campus network, Software Update from the Apple Menu now functions normally.  The actual downloads come from the district servers and will not cause a slowdown on the network.  If you have admin access to you computer, you will be able to install Apple update by using your network username and password.  If you don’t have admin access (if your network login does not work), please fill out a tech support ticket to have updates installed if needed.
